1988: Michael Jackson went to #1 on the US singles chart with "The Way You Make Me Feel", the third track from the LP "Bad" to accomplish that feat. It was a #3 hit in the UK.

1966: After twelve previous releases that failed to catch on, Frank Sinatra's daughter Nancy enters the Billboard Hot 100 with what will be her biggest hit, "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'". The song would later go to number one for one week and spend three and a half months on the chart.

1984: Yes hits number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with their only Top Ten hit, "Owner Of A Lonely Heart". It reached #28 hit in the UK.

1968: John Fred's "Judy In Disguise (With Glasses"), a song title inspired by the Beatles "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", knocked the Fab Four's "Hello Goodbye" out of Billboard's top spot. It reached #3 in the UK.

1974: A song called "Show and Tell" by Al Wilson overcame all odds and rose to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The tune had failed to become a hit for Johnny Mathis and was relegated to the "B" side of Wilson's single, but still ended up selling over three million copies and had a chart run of sixteen weeks.
