1967: Finally allowed to play instruments on their recordings, The Monkees scored their third US number one single with "Daydream Believer".

1975: Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released as a single. It would stay on the chart for seventeen weeks, nine of them at number one and would eventually go Platinum. The song would be re-released in December, 1991 after being featured in the movie Wayne's World and became a hit all over again.

1982: Melbourne, Australia's Men At Work had the number one song in the US with "Who Can It Be Now?". They would follow with three more Top 10 hits, "Down Under" (#1), "Overkill" (#3) and "It's A Mistake" (#6)
