1972: The O'Jays receive a Gold record for their first single, "Backstabbers", which made it to #3 on Billboard's Pop chart.

1984: Tina Turner's comeback album, "Private Dancer" is certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and the single from it, "What's Love Got To Do With It" is certified Gold. The album peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and the single reached #1 on the US singles chart as well as reaching #5 in the UK and the Top Ten in several other European countries.
